School Building Hours
Azalea Middle School starts at 8:10 a.m.. The office is open to parents/guardians from 7:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Students may enter the cafeteria and library at 7:45 a.m. Hallway doors open at 8:00 a.m. The school days ends at 3:15 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, THursday and Friday. On Wednesday students are released at 2:05 p.m. All students should be off school grounds by 3:30 p.m. or 2:20 on Wednesdays, except for student taking part in athletics or activities. The Homework Center is held in the library Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 3:15-4:00 p.m. and on Wednesdays from 2:10 - 3:00 p.m. Students are encouraged to pick up a permission slip to attend. Snacks are provided.
Early Student Arrivals
Students who need to see a teacher before the start of the school day must request a pass from the appropriate teacher on the preceding day. In the morning, they should check into the appropriate room and remain there until the school building is official opened.
Emergency Closures
KURY radio will broadcast notice of emergencies concerning the closure or delayed start of school due to hazardous road conditions or other unforeseen circumstances. Please do not call the school.
