Parents - Online Gear Up Survey

The Gear Up program provides many opportunities for students to learn about college education.  They provide funding for a number of projects both at the middle school and the high school.  A federal requirement of the program is to collect parent surveys.  Students have already completed their survey.  Please take a few minutes to complete the survey at:

Azalea Middle School is the educational bridge between elementray school and the high school.  Our #1 priority is providing strong academics in a safe learning environment. We are working together to take the best of the past and build on it. Our staff has a wealth of knowledge and experience which will provide momentum as we work together. As you can see we are very excited about the coming school year.

Students in middle school are at that wonderful crossroads from childhood to becoming an adult. They are striving to achieve four developmental tasks: autonomy and independence, social skills and acceptance, meaning and purpose, and the right to solve problems on their own. Azalea Middle School will provide opportunities to learn and grow in all of these areas. We will also provide support as students practice and hone these skills.
