Students Share Big Ideas, Solutions at GREG Talks

Brookings-Harbor High School College Speech Students from Mr. Gregory Scott's classes took the mic at a second of five planned "GREG Talk" events during a community filming event on Friday, April 5, at the Chetco Pelican Players Playhouse.

Students shared about topics ranging from the importance of math education, to the crisis of plastic pollution in our oceans, and the prevalence of addiction among local teens. They ended with proposed solutions and invitations to participate in finding answers to these issues in our community. Speeches followed a format similar to one made famous by "TED Talks" and "TEDx" events around the country.
