Board Goals

Mission Statement:

The Brookings Harbor District 17C Board Members, in partnership with students, parents, staff, and community will cultivate a safe, highly effective, and collaborative learning environment where every student can succeed.

BHSD17C Board of Directors Goals 2016-2017

 

Standard 1:  Leadership:  Mission, Vision, & Goals

Standard 5:  Accountability and Performance Monitoring

Goal: During 2016-2017 school year, the BHSD17C Board of Directors will be actively involved in progress monitoring of district and building goals during each regularly scheduled board meeting.

 According to Marzano (2009), “high performing districts ensure that the necessary resources, including time, money, personnel, and materials are allocated to accomplish the district’s goals.”  In addition to these resources, a commitment to providing strategic professional development for both teachers and administrators must be supported.
