The immunization exclusion date for our schools is February 20, 2019. On and after that date, students with incomplete records will be excluded from school until the requirement is met and the school district is provided documentation showing that it has been met.
Reports are submitted to the local health department in January each year, listing students who have an incomplete immunization record. Immunization records are due at student registration, and students with missing records receive repeated mailings and notices.
Immunizations can be obtained at the following places:
- School-Based Health Center, 625 Pioneer Road. Hours: 8 a.m. to noon, Tuesday and Wednesday only. You must make an appointment.
- Curry Community Health, 615 5th St. Hours: Fridays only. 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. by appointment only, and 1 to 3 p.m. for walk-ins.
Those who choose not to immunize their students must complete a two-step process.
They must complete an online course and provide the District Nurse with a certificate that is obtained after completing the course, and they need to come to the school and sign the backside of the Certificate of Immunization Status and complete the Non-Medical Exemption portion.
