Summer EBT funds will be issued starting Thursday May 22nd

Who can get this benefit?
Your school-age child may be automatically eligible if:
- Your family gets SNAP, TANF, or Oregon Health Plan (Medicaid) and meets income rules.
- Your child gets free or reduced-price school meals and meets income rules.
- Your child is in foster care, in migrant education, experiencing homelessness, in a qualified Head Start, or part of the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR).
 
Your school-age child may be eligible by application if:
- Your family meets the federal income requirements for free or reduced-price meals at school, and
- Your child attends a school that participates in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) or School Breakfast Program (SBP).
 
Important things to know:
- If you got Summer EBT last year through an approved application (2024), you don’t need to apply again. Your family will get benefits on May 22, 2025.
- If you’re new to the program and didn’t get benefits on May 22, 2025, you must apply by Sept. 3, 2025
- The money will be placed on an Oregon EBT card and can be used at most grocery stores, farmers markets, and more.
