Latest metrics translate to continued wait for Grades 4-5 to start in-person

As of 9/15/2020:

Oregon Health Authority virus metrics for the week of Sept. 6, 2020
  • The state was at 5.6% test positivity
  • Curry County was at 1.5% test positivity
  • Curry County was at 13/100,000 active cases (actual: 3 active cases in a population of about 23,000)
Curry exceeded the 10/100,000 limit for active cases for the week of Sept. 6, 2020. As a result, no progress was made toward the standard required by the state to start grades 4 and 5 in-person.

At this point, the soonest addition of in-person classes is Friday, Oct. 9, if the next 3 weeks of metrics are met.
